Patient Portal and Records Requests

To promote security and maintain patient confidentiality, Pathology Laboratories' (PathLabs) policy is to review each record request to confirm the identity of the requestor and the right to access the records. You may request access to your records through PathLabs' SonicMyAccess Patient Portal or via document delivery as below:

Adults (18 and over)

Patients in this age group may create an account for themselves by clicking on the link below. Identity confirmation is completed online during the signup process. The last four (4) digits of your social security number are required for the identity confirmation process.  If the patient does not have a social security number, please contact our Client Service Department at 800.281.8804 for assistance.

Minor Child (17 or younger)

Parents or Guardians may create an account for their minor child by clicking on the link below. You will be asked to complete, sign, and submit a Record Request Form along with proper identification via email, fax or mail. Once the completed form is received and patient identity has been verified, the account will be activated and the requester will be notified via email. For assistance with this process, please call our Client Service Department at 800.281.8804. 

How do I create my personal profile?

When you log in for the first time, you are asked to set up your account and create your profile. To view your current profile and make any changes, click on your name in the blue header at the top of the page and select Profile from the dropdown menu. Here, you can click on the listed categories and update the information in the fields provided.

How long after my testing do I have to wait in order to see my results in my account?

  • Once you've had your blood drawn or other sample collected, the lab will analyze the sample and send the results to your physician and to the portal at the same time. Results will become available when all tests ordered are complete and the report is final.
  • Please note, final results can take up to two weeks depending on the test(s) that were performed and certain testing may take longer. Once your results are released, we will send you an email as soon as they are available.

Which tests or what type of tests can I see my results for in my account?

Your account allows you to see most of your blood and urine lab tests in the enhanced views on the Trends, Get Smart, and My Labs pages. You can view the results for all of your lab tests in their original lab reports by going to the My Labs tab at the top of the page. Once you are in My Labs, you can click on the Result Options Menu at the upper right-hand side of the page. From the drop down, click on View Lab Reports. Here, you will see your lab reports arranged by date, with your most recent lab report appearing at the top. You can click on the calendar icon at the left of each lab report listing to open a PDF view of your original lab report.

Can I print out my lab reports?

Yes, once you have opened a lab report in PDF view (see previous question), you can print the report as you would with any other PDF file.

Can I see my previous lab results performed at different labs with a single SonicMyAccess account?

No, you will only see historical results that were performed by Pathology Laboratories dating back to June 1, 2022. To view results from other Sonic Healthcare Clinical Laboratories located throughout the United States, you will need to log into your account from the SonicMyAccess page specific to the location. Sonic Healthcare Clinical Laboratory locations include: American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL), Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL), East Side Clinical Laboratory, Pathology Laboratories, Sunrise Medical Laboratories, and WestPac Labs.

Do I have to register again to access my results if I move to another laboratory of Sonic Healthcare?

No, you only have to register once with SonicMyAccess™ regardless of the local Sonic Healthcare service laboratory provider.  However, you will need to access the SonicMyAccess site specific to the laboratory that performed the testing.

Is all of my health information and data secure within my account?

Yes, all of your health information and data is secure within your account. We have taken the strictest security measures and follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure that all of your health information and data is secure and private.

Appropriate medical expertise is required for the correct interpretation of clinical laboratory results and is not available from laboratory personnel. Action should not be taken based on test results without first discussing them with your healthcare provider.
